Some experience of PECHAKUCHA
On this Monday of this week, I had the first PECHAKUCHA in my life, which was a short, chat-style speech creation. This is a very magical, interesting and not easy experience for me.
For difficult aspects:
The first is the control of time. Andy provided us with a slide template that has been designed. We need to complete our PECHAKUCHA within ten slides, and each slide only has 20 seconds. For me personally, I need repeated practice to make my speaking speed fully meet the requirements of time.
The second point is based on the first point. It is the refinement of language. In previous personal speeches in various other forms, I am accustomed to using more words and language explanations to express my thoughts to the audience. Of course, this habit of speaking is based on the absence of too many restrictions. In limited circumstances, I need to work harder to streamline my thinking, maybe this can avoid some “nonsense”.
For profit:
First of all, I learned how to express my design ideas shortly and effectively in a speech. In the actual project reporting scenario, based on my personal work experience, most of the brand owners are impatient to listen to you to report your thoughts verbatim. They often want to hear some refined ideas.
Secondly, I think PECHAKUCHA is a great exercise for my English application ability. Because of some uncontrollable factors in real-time speech, such as equipment problems. I need to be more focused and flexible to give a speech instead of just memorizing the speech.
For project 4
In project four, I locked the user’s background as an international student. And I hope to explore how to help international students develop environment-friendly habits. This is based on the background of cc award and adding my personal experience and the experience of my friends around me. Next, I will conduct some more in-depth research to determine some more accurate practical directions.
